ATCO Electric Yukon Group - Best Painters in Town!

A wonderful group of volunteers from ATCO Electric Yukon came to the site on Saturday, February 4th to help with the painting of the trim and the walls.  They accomplished a lot in one day and can proudly be acclaimed as the "Best Painters in the Yukon".  Many thanks to Bill, Susan, Tom, Matthew, Jay, Lorraine and Carla for their excellent work.

Challenge - Community Resource Group Also Help

An energetic group of volunteers from Challenge - Community Resource Group came to the site in February willing and ready to paint up a storm.  Calvin, Gary, Clayton, Jessica and Catheryne did a great job and much work was accomplished.  Many thanks to all.

Catholic Youth Help Out

The Catholic Youth Group came to the Iskoot site in January to assist with the painting and interior insulation..  Many thanks to Zoe, Nikos, Noah and Father Agustin for helping out.

Yukon Energy Gives Generous Donation to Habitat Yukon

Yukon Energy has generously donated $5,000 towards helping Habitat for Humanity Yukon build safe, decent and affordable homes for low-income Yukon families.  The donation will be put towards the electrical costs at our latest build on Iskoot Crescent in Whistle Bend.  Many thanks to Yukon Energy for their continued support. 

Yukon College Electrical Students Help Out

An energetic class of Yukon College Electrical students came to the site in early December to help rough-in our electrical system

The Genworth "Meaning of Home" Contest closed on November 30th.

2nd Canada Builds Team Makes a Big Difference

The second Canada Builds team arrived in August and made a big difference at our site at 77 and 79 Iskoot Cres.

Premier Welcomes New Families

At the dedication ceremony on June 23, Habitat for Humanity Yukon celebrated the construction of two new affordable homes at 13 and 15 Eldorado Drive in Whistle Bend and honoured the sponsors, donors and the many volunteers involved in these builds. 

First Canada Builds Team Helps Habitat Yukon

The first of many Canada Builds teams arrived in Whitehorse last week to help with finishing the landscaping at our homes in Whistle Bend.  The team worked hard on setting the grade, moving gravel and topsoil, planting trees and shrubs and laying the sod.  They accomplished a lot of work in just one week and it was great to have their help.  As part on the

Northerm Fundraiser a Success!!

As part of their "Garage Sale" on April 30th, Northerm Windows provided a pancake breakfast with the proceeds going to Habitat Yukon.
