New Foundations (Newsletter June/July 2018)

18 Bailey Place

Four new families have been selected to move into the units at 18 Bailey Place! These families will be introduced in the next newsletter. Two of the families are currently selecting their paint colors, as two of the units are ready for painting!

The success of this build is directly linked to the volume of volunteers, in-kind donations, and supports within our amazing community. Special thanks to all those who continue to surrender their hot summer days by helping Habitat for Humanity Yukon construct these new homes. All of the efforts put forward have helped ensure four families will have home ownership this winter!

Seeking Volunteers

We are seeking volunteers to join our amazing and active group! If you are interested in either selling tickets for our raffle or are keen on helping at the build site, please send no an email at [email protected]. THANK YOU!

Groundwork

The groundwork has been prepped for the next build. Excavation and rough-in was completed following the clearing for the new homeowners’ parking space. Although the current build is not complete, the next build is fast approaching and some of the site-specific work needed to be completed. If you happen to drive by 18 Bailey Place. you can see the work that has been done in preparation for what is yet to come. You might also get to see what an amazing view these families will get!
